The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro officially go on sale today, and those who pre-ordered the new Google phones are just now receiving them in the mail. Already, a handful of Pixel 6 Pro owners have discovered a minor (like a really minor) issue with the device’s display.

In some instances, when the Pixel 6 Pro is powered off, a short tap of the power button reveals an odd display flickering issue. For some users on Reddit, the display shows a quick flicker — an almost static-like effect — across the top part of the display. We checked our own Pixel 6 Pro for the display issue, and we can confirm that the flickering is present, though ours happens towards the bottom of the screen.

The original Redmi Watch impressed us greatly with excellent fitness tracking smarts for its low price. Now, its successor, the Redmi Watch 2, is officially hitting shelves in China.

Launched alongside the Redmi Note 11 series, the Redmi Watch 2 keeps the fundamental design of its namesake, including the square face. However, it switches out the dull 1.4-inch LCD panel for a brighter 1.6-inch AMOLED display. Despite this size bump, the watch remains pretty light at 31 grams. Users also get a choice of three body colorways and six strap options.

Sony‘s smartphone division is still well down on the lofty form it showed in the late 2000s. In recent years it has struggled to gain a firm, profitable foothold in the market, but it seems its current strategy and focus on higher-end devices could be paying off.

According to Sony’s latest earnings report, its mobile communications segment enjoyed higher revenue figures in 2021 versus 2020. The company’s mobile division racked up 99.1 billion Japanese yen (~$871.6 million) in fiscal Q2 2021 versus 79.1 billion Japanese yen (~$695.7 million) in the corresponding period in 2020. The company also confirmed this revenue bump was the result of an “increase in unit sales.”

Google recently announced Android 12L, a version of Android better suited to devices with larger displays. The company also confirmed a developer preview would soon arrive for the Lenovo P12 Pro tablet with the reveal. Now, it seems that one of the first foldables to receive this OS refresh could be the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Per a report by 9to5Google, Android 12L will “soon” be available for the Samsung foldable, adding a slew of software features to the phone in the process. This includes smarter multitasking support with intelligent split-screen handling and improved compatibility for apps not yet optimized for large screens. Apps that are optimized will be highlighted in the Google Play Store in Android 12L, too.
